First of all, please check if you are using correct software for your model year of Vehicle.

B.U.D.S. (BRP Utility and Diagnostic Software) is a comprehensive multi-language diagnostic software that gives you an insight on BRP electronic modules.

Using B.U.D.S. you can:

Edit vehicle information;

Test, add or remove DESS keys;

Adjust engine parameters;

Activate module outputs;

Stop the engine;

Monitor vehicle parameters;

Troubleshoot vehicle faults;

Replace a module;

Update a module;

Read and reset historical data;

Save vehicle information to file;

Print vehicle information;

other procedures.

B.U.D.S. works with MPI-1, MPI-2 and MPI-3 interfaces and need a matching access code to be fully operational.

B.U.D.S. software is provided on an basis without warranty of any kind, expressed or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchant-ability and fitness for a particular purpose.

The main difference is in compatibility with newer models.

B.U.D.S. supports  models produced between:

• Jet Ski- 2006-2015,
• Snowmobiles, SSV and Roadsters-2006-2016,
• ATVs-2006-2017.
•  

B.U.D.S. 2 supports newer models:

• Jet Ski- 2016 and newer,
• Snowmobiles, SSV and Roadsters- 2017 and newer,
• ATVs-2018 and newer.

Keep in mind that B.U.D.S. 2 does NOT support older versions!

Description of licenses for B.U.D.S.:

1. Skidoo – diagnosis of snowmobiles. 

2. Roadster – diagnosis of tricycles. 

3. PWC&Seadoo – diagnosis of personal watercraft + sport boats.

4. All Dealers keys (SkiDoo + SeaDoo + PWC + ATV + Roadster + SSV).

5. Megatech key (enhanced diagnostic mode) : includes All Dealers keys, Developer key, Engeneer key, Megatech key.

Megatech Key Features:

1. Changing of the VIN number, MODEL number.

2. Advanced settings.

3. View stories in hours, rather than percentage.

4. Enabling / Disabling DESS (vehicle can be started with any DESS key).

5. Change the key type without reprogramming (normal, learning, rental).

6. Clear the history of the blocks ECM, MPEM (history of substitutions).

7. Cleaning unit ECM, MPEM, CLUSTER “as new” (resetting the hours on 4-TEC Seadoo, up to 2010).

8. View more information blocks.

9. Installing Secure Code.

10. Edit curves for 2-Stroke vehicles (SeaDoo, SkiDoo) and for new E-TEC models (Skidoo).

For the normal functioning of BUDS2 your computer must meet the minimum requirements:

• Processor type:

–   Intel: 3rd generation or later Core i5 or Core i7 processor, or

–   AMD: FX or Ryzen processor

• Processor frequency:

–   2 GHz or higher for dual-core processors, or

–   1.5 GHz or higher for processors with four cores or more

• RAM:

–   16GB or more

• Storage:

–   at least 5 GB available on the C drive:

–   a solid-state disk (SSD) is recommended

• Screen:

–   resolution of at least 1366 by 768

• USB:

–   two USB ports available

• Operating system:

–   Microsoft Windows 7 with service pack 1, 64-bit, or

–   Microsoft Windows 10, 64-bit

Computer administrator privileges are required for BUDS2 installation.

BUDS2 can be run on less weak computers, but each case is unique.

BUDS2 License “Mechatronic Expert” you can:

• Change the VIN and Model numbers (is useful after ECU replacing/reprogramming); 
• View stories in hours, rather than percentage; 
• Enable/disable DESS (start vehicle with any key (except Roadster Spyder)); 
• Change the DESS key type in two clicks (normal, learning, rental); 
• Change the Total Vehicle Hours (SeaDoo ECU Bosch); 
• View more information blocks; 
• Edit injector’s coefficient for E-TEC Skidoo; 
• Enable/disable vehicle’s options/modules/sensors; 
• Increase the power of Spark 60 hp up to 90 hp.

License key required to “unlock” BUDS/BUDS2 program.

Dealers license (standart diagnostic mode) – SkiDoo, SeaDoo, PWC, ATV, Roadster, SSV
Skidoo-diagnosis of snowmobiles,
SeaDoo – diagnosis of boats,
PWC – diagnosis of personal watercraft,
ATV – diagnosis of Quads,
Roadster – diagnosis of tricycles,
SSV – diagnostic of Side-By-Side.

BRP provide license keys for authorized dealers, for certain brands, that are serviced by dealers. For example, the dealer “ATV” can not serve the “Roadster”, because it can not connect to the system! Or, the dealer “PWC” can not serve “SeaDoo Sport Boats”.

B.U.D.S. always need a MPI interface and a matching access/license to be fully operational (to unlock BUDS/BUDS2).

We can provide BUDS/BUDS2 access/licenses (validity 1, 2,  years) for MPI-2 and MPI-3 interfaces for servicing of all BRP vehicles.

License key “MEGATECH” is a one option of license which offers great opportunities, which are not available for dealers!

MEGATECH – a license key of developers of the program BUDS. This key is not available to dealers and distributors BRP.
The license key is designed for advanced configuration of the electronic units, as well to clear the history and Information of blocks and to recover from incorrect updating of blocks.

License key Megatech (enhanced diagnostic mode) include: All licenses of dealers (SkiDoo, SeaDoo, PWC, ATV, Roadster, SSV), Developer’s license, Engineer’s license, license key Megatech.

BUDS2 software is updated periodically.

New versions includes support for new models, updates for electronic modules and updates of the diagnostic software.

All needed software (current and subsequent versions of BUDS and BUDS2) can be downloaded from our FTP server, access to which is available for our customers during the validity period of the purchased license.

You can purchase license keys with such validity:

1 year;

2 years;

During the purchase of equipment for the diagnosis, you can specify the validity of the license key 1 or 2 years.

If you want to change the license key for a longer duration, please contact the site administrator via private message.

Yes, you can buy from us only a license key for BUDS/BUDS2

Without Register on our website. Send  a private message to the site administrator. In your message, please include the serial number of your MPI-2 and MPI-3 adapter and the type of license you want to buy.

In reply we will send you a trial license and a list of prices for licenses.

Attention!

We send a trial license only for adaptors MPI-2, MPI-3 and only for third version of  BUDS . If you do not have this version of BUDS, we will send you.

This depends on the model of your adapter. Today, there are two models of adapters: MPI-1, MPI-2 and MPI-3

MPI-1 – the old adapter, able to work in three main protocols: KW2000-250k, DESS, 947-DI. Communicates with the computer via RS-232, also called a COM port. It supports almost all models 4-TEC, which support the exchange rate 250k KW2000 protocol as well as the entire line of 2-stroke technology. Due to lack of KW2000 protocol with baud rate 500k is not able to handle E-TEC technology, and some models of ATV Can Am.

MPI-2 and MPI-3 – a modern adapter USB, which uses the protocol CAN, supports transfer rate of 25 to 1000k. For the diagnosis of BRP vehicles used KW2000-250k and KW2000-500k. As a standalone unit, supports vehicles 4-TEC and E-TEC, without the possibility of record keys. With prefix DESS Post is able to register the keys, and is able to serve the full range of vehicles BRP, including old-style, like his younger brother, the MPI-1.

MPI-1 adapter is no longer supported by software.

The latest software B.U.D.S. only works with MPI-2 and MPI-3 adapter.
